White Hair Silver Needle is the highest grade of white tea. It is harvested in early spring when the tea tree has just sprouted one bud and leaf. The tea leaves are carefully plucked, and only the most tender bud tips are selected as raw material. These bud tips are evenly spread on bamboo sieves and left to dry in weak sunlight or a well-ventilated, shaded area until 80-90% dry. They are then gently roasted over charcoal at a low temperature of 30 to 40 degrees Celsius until completely dry. White Hair Silver Needle is mainly produced in Fuding and Zhenghe. The White Hair Silver Needle we sell is from Fuding, the most authentic white tea production area.

Silver Needle White Tea is characterized by its plump and strong buds, covered with white hairs, and straight and white like silver needles. The brewing method is similar to green tea, but because it is not kneaded, the tea juice is not easily extracted, so the brewing time should be relatively long. Generally, 3 grams of Silver Needle White Tea is placed in a colorless, transparent glass that has been scalded with boiling water, and then 200 milliliters of boiling water is poured in. At the beginning, the tea buds float on the water surface. After 5 to 6 minutes, some tea buds sink to the bottom of the cup, while others remain suspended in the upper part of the tea soup. At this time, the tea buds stand upright, crisscrossing each other, resembling stalactites, which is quite a spectacle. After about 10 minutes, when the tea soup turns yellow, it can be consumed. At this point, while enjoying the tea, one can immerse oneself in the atmosphere, free from worldly distractions, and full of interest.
