GABA Tea

Our GABA-rich teas represent a unique intersection of traditional Yunnan Pu-erh craftsmanship and modern scientific innovation. These teas are the result of a specialized fermentation process developed by the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, which naturally enhances the GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) content in high-grade raw Pu-erh tea.
GABA, a neurotransmitter known for its calming effects, is naturally present in tea leaves. Through careful fermentation, we've maximized its concentration, creating a tea that not only tastes good but may also promote relaxation and overall well-being.
The flavor profile of our GABA teas is complex yet approachable. Expect a smooth, mellow taste with subtle earthy notes characteristic of Pu-erh, complemented by a gentle sweetness. The mouthfeel is rich and satisfying, without any bitterness or astringency.
These teas are particularly suitable for those seeking a calming cup in the evening or during stressful periods. They're also an excellent choice for Pu-erh enthusiasts looking to explore new dimensions of their favorite tea.
To brew, use water just off the boil (around 95°C) and steep for 2-3 minutes. The leaves can be re-steeped multiple times, with each infusion revealing new layers of flavor.
We personally select and drink these teas ourselves, ensuring that each batch meets our high standards for quality and taste. Our goal is to offer teas that we genuinely enjoy and believe in, rather than following trends or making exaggerated claims.
By choosing our GABA-rich Pu-erh, you're not just getting a delicious cup of tea, but also supporting innovative, science-backed tea production methods that respect traditional craftsmanship while embracing beneficial advancements.
