Duan clay is the interlayer in purple clay. After high-temperature firing, it presents beige, bluish-gray, and golden-yellow colors. The well-used and well-cared old teapots have a charming beeswax color.

The Duan clay raw material contains particles of different sizes, giving the surface of the teapot a unique texture and increasing its artistic value.

The Duan clay teapot has better breathability and is suitable for brewing mild teas with a lighter tea soup color, such as green tea, white tea, Tieguanyin, etc.

The Duan clay purple clay teapot is widely welcomed among tea lovers. We have selected old Duan clay materials to make several classic teapots.

  • Duoqiu Pot 掇球壶: The Duoqiu Pot is a classic purple clay pot type. Its pot body is like multiple spheres stacked and connected. The overall shape is plump and round, with smooth and natural lines. The Duoqiu Pot pursues balance and harmony in the shape, reflecting the pursuit of completeness and integrity in traditional Chinese art. We offer two specifications for Duoqiu pots, one large and one small.

This pot has a plump and round body, a truncated cover with a short spout, and an inverted handle with a charming and naive appearance. The overall shape is simple and bright, with soft lines, giving a sense of elegance and refinement. The spout of the Xishi Pot is short and round, the water outflow is smooth, and it is convenient to use. It is one of the popular pot types.

Naming this pot type "Dragon Egg" contains beautiful wishes and expectations. The Dragon Egg Pot comes in tall and short versions. Different artists have different concepts and techniques when creating it. We have another Longdan set, providing four Longdan Pots of varying clay materials.
    • Dragon Egg Pot
      • [Specifications] Length: 13 cm, Diameter: 5 cm, Height: 10 cm
      • [Capacity] Approximately 250 ml

These three different pots are all finely crafted. The surface is as gentle as jade. The overall appearance is dignified and stable, with harmonious proportions and a strict structure, demonstrating Chinese aesthetic appreciation.

The smoothness of the water outflow from the spout is also a critical factor in judging the quality of a pot. This pot has a smooth water outflow, like a water column. Because its spout design is very meticulous, and the connection with the pot body is very natural.

The imprinted texture at the bottom of the pot is clear, and the knob on the pot cover is round and full, comfortable to hold. It is a very exquisite purple clay pot suitable for daily use and is made with superb craftsmanship.

Brewing tea with a purple clay pot has many benefits. It neither takes away the aroma of the tea nor has the smell of overcooked soup. It retains the tea's color, aroma, and taste and can also bring out the fragrance of the tea leaves.

**The above dimensions and capacities are approximations. Because they are handmade, the clay material shrinks during the firing process, and manual measurement is inevitably subject to errors; the actual product shall prevail.
