Join the Tea Community

Our customers and tea friends often gather on The Tea Table, a tea community on Discord originally created by tea enthusiast Liquid Proust in 2020.

Inside the server, members discuss tea, share tasting notes, and help each other learn more about Chinese tea.

Some of our customers have also started a small OrientaLeaf corner there to chat about the teas they’re drinking. If you'd like to meet other tea drinkers and join the conversation, you're warmly welcome to join.

Less Heat, More Sweetness: A Curated Summer Tea Journey.

When the heat of summer settles in, we naturally look for drinks that refresh and cool us. Yet, most commercial iced teas are heavily sweetened, laden with artificial flavorings, and stripped of the true beauty of the tea leaf.

Our Summer Cold Brew Discovery Box is an invitation to experience summer hydration in its purest, most honest form.

Cold brewing is a gentle, patient extraction. By leaving the boiling water behind, you slow down the release of bitter tannins and heavy caffeine. Instead, the sweet-tasting amino acids (L-theanine) dissolve smoothly and steadily, yielding a cup that is naturally sweet, silkily smooth, and entirely free of bitterness. It is zero-sugar, zero-calorie, and incredibly gentle on your stomach.

We have selected 8 distinct whole-leaf teas (across 4 categories, 30g each, totaling approximately 240g) that excel in cold water. From the crisp mountains of Shaanxi to the misty valleys of Wuyi, each leaf tells a story of its unique terroir.

What’s Inside the Box

Category Tea Name (Click to view individual tea) Terroir & Cold Brew Character
Green Tea Special Grade Pre-Qingming Huangshan Maofeng (30g) Harvested in early spring before the rains. Cold brewing coaxes out its delicate floral sweetness and clean orchid notes with zero astringency.
Green Tea Ziyang Selenium-Enriched Green Tea (Special Grade) (30g) Grown in the selenium-rich soils of the Qinling Mountains. It brews into a crisp, savory, and mineral-rich cup that is deeply rejuvenating.
White Tea 2025 Yunnan Silver Needle | Bold Big-Leaf White Tea Sticks (5 sticks, ~35g) Compressed big-leaf white tea from Menghai. Delivers a bold, honeyed sweetness with a rich, mineral mouthfeel and calming body sensation.
White Tea Fuding Bai Mu Dan / White Peony White Tea (30g) A beautiful balance of tender buds and green leaves. When cold-steeped, it mimics the sweet texture of Silver Needle but carries a higher, rising floral aroma.
Jasmine Hengxian Dark Jasmine Needle Green Tea "Mo Xiang Zhen" (30g) Hand-scented five times with fresh jasmine blossoms. The deep, dark needles absorb the fragrance "to the bone," offering an incredibly clean, lingering floral liquor.
Jasmine Jasmine Dragon Pearl Tea (30g) Tender buds hand-rolled into tiny pearls. Watch them gracefully unfurl in cold water, slowly releasing a classic, soothing jasmine perfume.
Oolong Qing Xiang Tieguanyin Oolong Tea* (30g) Lightly baked and intensely floral. Cold steeping coaxes out a silky, cream-like texture and a deep, refreshing throat sweetness (Huigan).
Oolong Keng Jian Rou Gui | Pit-Valley Grown Wuyi Rock Tea (30g) Grown in shaded, misty valleys. Low-temperature brewing softens Rou Gui's signature aggressive cinnamon spice, highlighting its smooth, peach-pit sweetness.

Designed for Freshness and Simplicity

To ensure your brewing experience is as seamless and respectful to the leaves as possible, we have paid attention to every detail:

  • Whole-Leaf Integrity: We do not use tea dust or fannings. Broken leaves release bitterness too quickly. Whole leaves unfurl slowly, keeping the brew sweet and crystal-clear.
  • Preservation-First Packaging: Each of the 8 tea varieties is packed in a foil-lined, light-shielding zipper bag that can be repeatedly sealed, locking out humidity and keeping the leaves pristine.
  • Biodegradable Filter Bags Included: Every box includes 50 empty, plastic-free corn fiber tea filter bags. This allows you to portion your whole leaves cleanly, drop them into any bottle, and easily remove them when finished.
  • One Month of Pure Hydration: With 240g of premium tea, and our recommended ratio of 5g of tea per 1 Liter of water, this box allows you to make 48 Liters of premium cold brew—ample supply for a daily, refreshing ritual.

How to Brew Your Summer Tea (The Golden Rule)

Cold brewing is forgiving, but a few simple details make all the difference:

  1. The Ratio: Portion 5 grams of whole leaves (roughly 1-2 teaspoons, or use the included filter bag) into 1 Liter of water. Less is more—a lighter ratio keeps the tea incredibly clean and refreshing.
  2. The Water: Always use bottled spring water or filtered water. Avoid tap water, as chlorine and minerals will mask the delicate, natural notes of the leaves.
  3. The Steep: Place your vessel (a mason jar, a cold brew bottle, or a simple mineral water bottle) into the refrigerator for 6 to 12 hours.
    • Green & Jasmine teas: Peak sweetness at 6-8 hours.
    • White & Oolong teas: Best at 10-12 hours.
  4. The Serve: Strain the leaves (or pull out the filter bag) and enjoy. Drink within 24 hours for absolute freshness.
