Tie Guan Yin Iron Goddess Oolong Tea
Tie Guan Yin铁观音, one of China's historic famous teas, originates from Anxi County in Fujian Province. Anxi County is a mountainous area with beautiful scenery located in the northwest of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, along the southeast coast of China. It belongs to the Daiyun Mountains and has the characteristics of a tropical maritime monsoon climate, with no severe heat in summer and no severe cold in winter. The Lanxi River flows long, and the Fengshan Zhongling is beautiful, with morning mist and evening haze all year round, a mild climate, abundant rainfall, and a "natural treasure trove of tea tree good varieties." Tieguanyin originated from Yaoyang in Xiping, Anxi County, and there are two beautiful legends about it in folklore.
The production process of Tieguanyin includes spreading, withering, cooling (or standing still), shaking, frying, rolling, initial roasting, initial rolling, re-roasting, re-rolling, and drying. The finished tea has a tight and heavy appearance, a sand-green and glossy color, a rich and fragrant aroma, a mellow and sweet taste, a bright golden-yellow soup color, leaves a fragrance in the mouth, moistens the throat, and has a unique style of fragrance, commonly known as the "Guanyin rhyme." The aroma analysis results show that most substances have a fresh floral aroma. Anxi Tieguanyin is a famous tea in Chinese history. Anxi Tieguanyin was listed as a geographical indication product in its original production area in 2002.
