This is an interesting tea from the moment you smell it. I'm not sure of the age of the white tea base material, but I suspect the jin hua contributes an impression of greater age, combining with the tea's fruity, honey-like aroma to create a deeper, more mature character.
The flavor reminds me of a metheglin (spiced mead): honeyed grain layered with gentle baking spices, clove, a touch of cinnamon, and a hint of vanilla. It's bright, smooth, and exceptionally easy to drink.
One thing I've noticed across every tea I've had from Orientaleaf is the consistently clean storage. I've never encountered a funky, musty, or off note in any of their teas. They clearly take pride in their storage practices, and it's something that comes through in the cup.
A truly sublime and enlightened brew. The white tea and golden flowers complement each other perfectly.
The flavour is so clear and open, the floral sweetness reminds me of an acacia honey that I once had. I have only brewed it in my gaiwan, but will also try the traditional simmering method as I suspect that it will work well with this tea.
Love ordering from OrientaLeaf , great service and communication- can’t comment on tea yet as it’s stored for use sooner than later - the samples I tried b4 ordering stood out - recommended
This one is crazy. Reminds me of Cherrys in a glass, deeply and sweet and such a pleasure to drink. The package is awesome and I will order this or something slighty different if you have. Those jin hua aged whites is something special and new to me and just wow.
I ordered the other award winner, the dian hong jin hua one. That one for me just taste like a medium dian hong, I dont know.. but the white holy sh**
This tea offers a smooth and sweet profile with delicate floral notes. The golden flowers add a unique touch that truly enhances the flavor. Packaging is elegant and keeps the tea fresh.
