Dezhong 德钟 is a traditional type of Yixing purple clay teapot created by Shao Daheng 邵大亨 in the Qing Dynasty. It is considered a classic pot type.

The Dezhong pot is dignified and stable, with harmonious proportions, a strict structure, and purple and moist clay color. The pot body has a good hand feel and a simple and plain shape. It washes away the elaborate and cumbersome habits of the palace, and the performance of the technical methods has reached the peak of the traditional basic skills of purple clay.

This  high-end pot is entirely handmade. From making the clay to the finished product, it undergoes 14 days of complex manual processes and finally transforms at a high temperature of over 1000 degrees.

This pot is made of old purple clay, giving the work a unique charm. In pursuing microscopic beauty with meticulous representation, not only can the shape not be abandoned, but the quality must also be obtained. The jade-like delicate texture retains the warmth of handcrafting.

The interplay between the purple clay and the kiln temperature forms the unique texture of purple clay. The finished pot is moist and lustrous, with a texture like fine jade. The classical charm presented after nourishing and initiating the pot with tea is captivating and makes people unable to put it down.
