Join the Tea Community

Our customers and tea friends often gather on The Tea Table, a tea community on Discord originally created by tea enthusiast Liquid Proust in 2020.

Inside the server, members discuss tea, share tasting notes, and help each other learn more about Chinese tea.

Some of our customers have also started a small OrientaLeaf corner there to chat about the teas they’re drinking. If you'd like to meet other tea drinkers and join the conversation, you're warmly welcome to join.

This tea cake blends the deep, mellow flavor of ripe Pu-erh with the comforting aroma of sticky rice. Made in Yunnan, China, it uses a traditional method where the natural leaves of the nuo mi xiang herb are mixed with ripe Pu-erh tea leaves and pressed into cakes.

Each box contains two 100g cakes. The thinner shape makes them easy to break by hand—no tea knife needed.

The sticky rice scent comes from a native plant in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. The aroma is natural, not artificial, and adds a soft, warm note to the earthy base of the tea. It’s a flavor many tea lovers describe as soothing and nostalgic.

This tea is produced by the Tea Research Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Founded in 1938, this public research institute plays a key role in the development of Pu-erh tea in China.

Why choose this tea:

  • Made by a trusted tea research institute in Yunnan
  • Rich, earthy flavor with a clear sticky rice aroma
  • Uses real nuo mi xiang leaves, not artificial flavoring
  • Thin cake design for easy breaking and brewing

This is a great choice for those who enjoy classic ripe Pu-erh, but are looking for a unique and comforting twist. Ideal for evening tea sessions or as a calming cup after meals.

Also known as:
Sticky Rice Pu-erh Tea, Glutinous Rice Pu-erh, Nuomi Xiang Pu-erh, Sticky Rice Herb Tea
