Join the Tea Community

Our customers and tea friends often gather on The Tea Table, a tea community on Discord originally created by tea enthusiast Liquid Proust in 2020.

Inside the server, members discuss tea, share tasting notes, and help each other learn more about Chinese tea.

Some of our customers have also started a small OrientaLeaf corner there to chat about the teas they’re drinking. If you'd like to meet other tea drinkers and join the conversation, you're warmly welcome to join.

Hand-pressed entirely from plump first-spring golden buds, this Menghai high-mountain Ripe Pu-erh unveils a velvety, amber-red liquor with lingering notes of honeyed cacao and antique wood.

A rare high-mountain Pu-erh cake made entirely of golden first-spring buds—velvety smooth with a luminous amber liquor and a naturally sweet, lingering finish.

In the mist-draped mountains of Menghai, Yunnan, the earliest spring buds emerge when nights are still cool and the morning fog cloaks the old tea trees. These tender buds, plump and downy with sun-kissed golden hairs, are prized for the exceptional sweetness and creamy body they lend to Ripe Pu-erh.

Traditionally described in Chinese as “香气高雅、汤质稠厚滑润”—elegant aroma and dense, silky liquor—this character translates for the Western palate into notes of warm honeycomb, soft cacao powder, roasted chestnut, and a hint of antique rosewood. The cup glows amber-red and lustrous, delivering a velvety mouthfeel that glides across the tongue with a clean, lingering sweetness.

Every cake is hand-crafted and stone-pressed exclusively from first-spring big-leaf cultivar buds—no stems, no coarse leaf—resulting in an unusually soft and aromatic Ripe Pu-erh that brews beautifully now yet will reward further aging.
