"Mi Xiang" — meaning "honey fragrance" — draws its name from the tea's most defining character. Like the first warmth of sunlight breaking through morning mist, or the gentle drift of clouds across a mountain sky, this tea captures a sense of natural ease. It is a quiet celebration of the elements: the warmth of sunshine, the freedom of mountain winds, the unhurried grace of floating clouds.
Released in 2021 as batch 2101 by Menghai Tea Factory, this raw puerh cake has been naturally aged in our Xi'an dry storage since dispatch from the factory. Made from Yunnan large-leaf sun-dried maocha, it follows the traditional Dayi production techniques recognized on China's National Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
The cake is round, full, and well-pressed with moderate tightness. The tea strands are clear and plump, displaying a vigorous character; the color is yellowish-green with thick, prominent buds — a portrait of vitality. The liquor is bright orange-yellow, clear and luminous. The aroma is dominated by a rich honey fragrance, accompanied by delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is mellow and full-bodied, with the honey-floral character taking center stage and a well-balanced structure. Bittersweet in harmony, the finish carries a lasting honey sweetness. The infused leaves are even and uniform, yellowish-green with signs of gentle aging.
