Historically, Lu An Guapian 六安瓜片 (Lù’ān Guāpiàn) was praised in The Classic of Tea 茶经 (Chájīng) by Lu Yu 陆羽 (Lù Yǔ) and later honored as an imperial tribute tea 贡茶 (Gòngchá) during the Qing Dynasty 清朝 (Qīng Cháo).
