2020大益7542生普洱茶2001批次
The 7542 is Dayi's most iconic raw puerh recipe, first developed in 1975 at Menghai Tea Factory. The recipe code "7542" denotes the year of creation (1975), the comprehensive grade of tea leaves used (grade 4), and the producing factory (Menghai Tea Factory, code 2). Widely regarded as the benchmark for evaluating raw puerh quality, the 7542 has been in continuous production for over four decades and remains the highest-volume raw puerh in Menghai Tea Factory's lineup. The Classic 7542 series in 150g format carries forward the same benchmark recipe in a smaller, more accessible cake size.
Produced in 2020 at Menghai Tea Factory in Yunnan, China, using Yunnan large-leaf sun-dried tea as raw material. The tea has been stored in our Xi'an dry storage since dispatch from the factory, under natural storage conditions. Offered in a 150g cake with regular cotton paper wrapper, it provides an accessible entry point to experience the legendary 7542 recipe.
The 7542 recipe uses vigorous tea leaves as the core structure with tender buds covering the surface, achieving a balanced grade-4 composition. The dry leaves show a yellowish-green hue with dark luster and visible downy buds. The liquor is golden bright, resembling beeswax, with a persistent floral and fruity aroma. On the palate, the tea is mellow with a slight astringency that gives way to a lasting sweet aftertaste (huí gān) and continued salivation (shēng jīn). The throat charm (hóu yùn) remains pronounced even beyond the fifth infusion, demonstrating the recipe's renowned aging potential.
